Leo Jared Scheck

Leo Jared Scheck graduated Lambda Pi Eta from Northwestern University, where he majored in Theatre and Economics.

In his native DC, Leo had the honor to work on a number of shows at Round House Theatre, including THE NIGHT ALIVE, STAGE KISS, FATHER COMES HOME FROM THE WARS (PARTS 1,2, & 3), and CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, as the Production Management Intern.

Since, then he has gone on to produce the Chicagoland premiere of DRY LAND, a sold-out production of 13 THE MUSICAL, as well as the original musical STATE OF THE ART.

Production Management credits include NEXT TO NORMAL, DOLLY PARTON'S 9 TO 5, LORD OF THE FLIES, as well as two Mee-Ow Comedy shows, MEE-OWDLE SCHOOL DANCE: UNCHAPERONED and AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MEE-OWDEL.

Other production credits include HELLO, DOLLY! (Director of Sales and Promotions), PETER AND THE STARCATCHER (Assistant Producer), LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (Assistant Producer), RAGTIME (Corporate Relations), MANHATTAN MIRACLE (Finance) and FOR THE RECORD (Finance).

As a venue supervisor in the historic Cahn Auditorium, Leo has been proud to produce quality event programming for a variety of partners including Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Rep. Adam Schiff, Stacey Abrams, Governor Martin O’Malley, Tegan and Sara, Samantha Bee, Shaun King, Josh Peck, Diane Guerrero, Michelle Wolf, Vanessa Bayer, Eric Andre, Billy Eichner, and Mexican President Vicente Fox.

Beginning in 2018, he began working on the Marketing and Communications team for HAMILTON: AN AMERICAN MUSICAL, covering all 72 North American markets, including the engagement in Puerto Rico.

As an actor, credits include Verdi's OTELLO with the Kirov Opera; Kennedy Center performances of TURANDOT and LA BOHEME with the Washington National Opera and the Children's Chorus of Washington; and Ford's Theatre's A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Leo was assistant director for the productions AMERICAN IDIOT and HAIR (BroadwayWorld Best Educational Theatre Production Nominee) with Act Two @ Levine, which opened at Arena Stage's Kogod Cradle. Perfomance credits with Act Two include AMERICAN IDIOT (Tunny), HAIR (Woof), SPRING AWAKENING (Hanschen), LES MISERABLES (Javert), BIG FISH (Don Price), CABARET (Victor) and SIDE SHOW (Roustabout).

He had the honor to perform along side Tony Award-winning actor Patina Miller at Strathmore Hall.

Leo is a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do: when he's not in the theatre, you can probably find him at the gym near the punching bag.
